The Car

The car being used is a LHD 1966 Porsche 912 coupe.

Originally delivered to a Californian Porsche dealership in mid 66, the car found its way over to the U.K in the late 1990 s as a reasonably sad looking restoration candidate.

The car was duly restored by myself, and was to destined to become my first car. Fourteen years later, she's still a much loved member of the family.

I've tried hard to keep modifications to the car to a bare minimum. The engine and gearbox have both been rebuilt, but to a reasonably standard specification. The main suspension components are also standard SWB. Shock absorbers and bushes have been upgraded to a heavy duty type, in an effort to limit the negative effects of badly potholed roads.

All other major components are as factory standard but either new or rebuilt.
